Emily Nickel

Director of Business Applications

Emily Nickel serves as the Director of Business Applications for Perennial Services Group, where she leads the performance, roadmap, and cross‑platform connectivity of the organization’s operating systems. With a passion for data integrity, user adoption, and standardization, Emily works closely across the Partner network to ensure Perennial’s systems run smarter, smoother, and more strategically every day.

Before joining Perennial, Emily spent nearly a decade in client relations within the Software as a Service (SaaS) world, partnering with client portfolios to streamline workflows, elevate efficiency, and maximize technology ROI. She’s a firm believer that when strong processes and thoughtful platforms work in harmony, teams win—through increased revenue, stronger profitability, and a healthier work/life balance.

Emily’s career began in the green industry after earning her Horticulture degree (with a Design minor) from Iowa State University. What started as a passion for beautiful outdoor spaces grew into a unique opportunity: using technology to positively shape the landscaping and home‑services industries. After nine years on the front lines in account management for a Chicagoland landscape and snow removal company, she transitioned into innovative, tech‑focused roles that champion operational excellence and high‑performing customer service.

When she’s not happily “nerding out” behind a computer, Emily can be found exploring her home state of Michigan with her husband, Chris, and their Golden Retriever, Nash. Together they embrace every season—on land, on the water, or out in the snow.
